Thermodynamic Characteristics of a Small Droplet in Terms of the Density Functional Method

چکیده
It was shown that, in terms of the density functional method, the self-overlapping of a surface layer in the central region of a small droplet results in a nonmonotonic dependence of the density and pressure in the droplet center on its size. The effect of this self-overlapping on the formation work of a droplet, the chemical potential of its molecule, and the surface tension in the systems with the Yukawa and Lennard-Jones potentials is described.
